5G is the successor generation of mobile radio that offers several advantages over 4G (LTE). The data transmission of the 5G is ten times faster than LTE, it offers a data rate of up to 10Gbit per second. It has the same frequency ranges like 3G and 4G at 2 GHz, but can also be used in a new frequency range from 3.4 to 3.7 GHz, with shorter waves, this transfers more information in less time. The shorter waves have a shorter range, but is a much more reliable, resilient and secure network.
The higher speed increases efficiency, the low latency times enable real-time communication of end devices and thus offer completely new possibilities.
