The term wait time in context of security checkpoint at airports means the period beginning when a passenger enters a queue for a screening checkpoint and ending when that passenger exits the checkpoint.
The airport administration is responsible to make available wait times at each security checkpoint at which security screening operations are conducted. The security checkpoint wait times have to be provided in real time via technology and published online and in physical locations at applicable airport terminals.
